About

Matt Skryja is a compelling storyteller who brings passion and creativity to every project. He has been involved in television production and broadcasting for more than 19 years. Matt knows the most engaging communicators speak to the hearts of others. It is this belief that continues to drive him toward excellence and it is what led him to create Forestville Productions.

Matt carries with him a global perspective with a heart rooted in small-town America. Although he grew up in the town of Forestville, he has traveled extensively around the world. Matt has been to Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Australia, Central America, South America, Europe, and dozens of cities in the United States. That’s every continent but Antarctica (it’s on the list)! These experiences, and his background as a journalist, host, and producer, taught him that the lives of actors, musicians, and politicians can certainly be interesting and engaging, but the most compelling stories often come from the people we meet in our everyday lives.

Matt has produced and has been the host of various segmented television series. They range from travel and extreme outdoors shows to reality television. He has also been recognized for his work in writing and producing special television series, as well as various public relations, training, and internal communication videos.

His versatility gives him the ability to work in various styles and formats and to excel at a variety of projects. Matt continues to partner with award-winning photographers and producers from across the country on a wide spectrum of television and video projects. Additionally, he is currently working on two screenwriting projects.

Matt has been recognized for his work with various awards, including an Emmy Award, PRSA Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation, Telly Awards, a RTNDA Award, Communicator Awards, Ava Awards, Marcom Awards, Hermes Awards, and an Associated Press Mark Twain Award for writing.

Production

The mission of Forestville Productions is to produce and promote highly creative and original content. People and stories are what inspire us. The creative process is what fuels us. Making engaging copy, video, film, and audio is what drives us.

Whether it’s travel and reality shows or commercials and corporate videos, excellence is our goal. We do more than just segmented television shows, films, and documentaries. We can also create various internal communication and training videos, real estate features, and video news releases. We can be there for part of the process or from start to finish – concept, copy, and video and audio creation.

Hosting

Matt Skryja’s passion is to tell stories. Those stories are about experiences and the dynamics of a moment. Whether those dynamics involve people or products, Matt brings magic to those moments so that others can share in the experience.

Matt’s own experience in front of a camera spans more than 15 years of doing both live and taped television segments. No matter if he’s ad-libbing during live television shows or highlighting products in a scripted segment, Matt has a unique ability to bring the excitement of the moment to the viewer or listener. Matt has hosted multi-hour live productions as well as taped travel and adventure shows. He looks forward to the opportunity of bringing his experience and goal of excellence to your project.

Voice

Matt Skryja has an engaging voice that crosses boundaries. His voice brings life to any project. Whether it’s voicing over an adventure to the frozen tundra of Alaska, or introducing a business’ red hot deals, Matt’s voice helps bring listeners into the dynamics of the moment. Everything from long-form film documentaries and short-form television shows to radio spots and television commercials will benefit from his skills of relaying passion and feeling to viewers and listeners of all ages.
